What is Cold Efficacious Decoction – Gan Mao Ling

Gan Mao Ling is a Chinese Herbal Medicine formula recommended for those with body stress associated with the common cold and the flu. Take it as soon as you feel the first signs of a cold or flu coming on — a scratchy throat, feeling cold, sensitivity to wind, runny nose with clear phlegm, etc. Take it immediately and often and it can help to reduce the symptoms and shorten the length of your cold!

    Herbal Ingredients found in Gan Mao Ling – Cold Efficacious Decoction – Liquid Extract (Tincture)

    Ingredients: Filtered water, ethyl alcohol (20%) and a blend of the following dry herbs decocted at a 2:1 ratio (gm herb to ml menstruum):

    • Ilex Asprella root • Gang Mei Gen (34%)
    • Evodia Lepta root • San Cha Ku (22%)
    • Chrysanthemum flower • Ju Hua (13%)
    • Vitex Negundo herb • Wu Zhi Gan (alt. name: Huang Jing Cao) (13%)
    • Isatis root • Ban Lan Gen (13%)
    • Lonicera flower • Jin Yin Hua (5%)
    • Menthol crystals • Bo He Nao (0.1%)
  • Dosage Instructions

    Gan Mao Ling – Cold Efficacious Decoction – Liquid Extract (Tincture)

    Shake Well before each use.

    Maintenance Serving: Dissolve 1-2 droppers (1/2 tsp.) in warm water or juice 2-3 times daily.

    Augmented Serving: Take 1 full tsp. 2 to 3 times daily in warm water or juice or as directed by a qualified herbalist familiar with the use of Chinese herbs and formulas.

    To evaporate alcohol place in hot water.
